Your assignment is to read a chapter from Frederick Lewis Allen’s book, Only Yesterday, and informal history of the 1920’s. This book is the first written historical reflection on the era and was a great success.

The assignment is to choose a chapter to read and report on his depiction of history. When writing your report think about the following questions:
• What is the overall purpose of this chapter?
• What are some main events of the chapter?
• Who are some of the main figures of the chapter?
• Is his depiction of the era a worthwhile source?
• What were your likes/dislikes towards the book and topic?
The paper must follow MLA format (typed, double spaced, times new roman 12, etc.) The paper must be at least 2 pages long
The purpose of this assignment is to get some preliminary knowledge into the Roaring 20s.
